Comments on Harmony Les Paul copy Guitar?

Hello. Wanted to buy a guitar so my son can start guitar lessons. I found a used Harmony Les Paul copy that seemed kind of nice. Can anyone comment on this guitar? Harmony does not seem be in Biz anymore so I am having trouble finding info on their products.

What would be a good price for used in good condition model?

Thanks,

Harmony guitars are very low-end in price and quality. If your son is young and wanted to try learning, it should be ok. If he decides to get serious about playing, he'll outgrow it quickly. I can't recommend Harmony.

I'd recommend the Squire line by Fender or the Epiphone line by Gibson for lower-end (but not complete junk) guitars by more reputable companies. Look at the specials or clearance guitars on sites like Musician's Friend or Guitar Center.
