Why is it that women can make comments like "I'm not going to let him do this" or &qu

...and it's all well and okay. But yet if a guy makes the same type of comments about his girlfriend or wife (saying "I don't let her do this" or "I never let her go there," anything along those lines), he gets pelted with accusations of being a chauvinistic pig.

I hate to be a complainer, but I don't see the logic. Sorry.

Just one of those double standards that we all live with, but as for me personally, I wouldn't put up with it. Just my $.02

That's just the reason women say it...to show that they're not defined by or controlled by their man. Unfortunately, it's usually just lip service.

Guys have bad names for bossy / controlling women, where have you been ?

Men %26amp; women both make those claims and usually, few people take either of them seriously .

I agree with you. My first husband was very controlling and always told me what to do, who I could see and where I could go. One day I TOLD HIM WHERE TO GO!!!!! My new husband and I never tell each other what to do, we discuss what we are going to do during the day and what plans we may have for the future.

When couples start dictating to each other the relationship is doomed!

I think that women just want to let people know that they are not walked on by their men, but at the same time, men like to be in charge and want people to know it, so they say "I never LET MY wife do THAT."
