I'm looking at buying a Kia. However I was just told not too. Anyone w/ a Kia have comments?

I'm specifically looking at the Kia Spectra but any comments are wanted.

Kia is owned by Hyundai, personally I would go look at a Hyundai instead, Kias have had more spotty reliability than Hyundais. If you haven't driven a Hyundai in a while, at least go and test drive one.

i own a shop and there are a lot of mixed reviews on the KIA,s right now some of them are good car,and a lot of them are giving a lot of problems,and its just not with one thing but a lot of things,so right now id have to say its up to you,it will give problems,what kind, no one can say that for sure,but its something to think about,if i wanted a real good dependable car,id be looking at a Nissan sentra,those are really nice cars,they last good and are real cheap to operate also,and much more reliable,that would be my choice right now the KIA,s look good,but looks aren't everything you need a car you can rely on these days,good luck i hope this helps.

i had an '04 optima, my mom has it now, i currently have an '06 sorento and my mom in law has a '05 sedona, friend has spectra. no probs, excellent limited warranty and excellent extended warranty. good gas mileage. great safety features. made by hyundai just least expensive. good luck.
