How do I not let negative comments interfere with happiness?

My boyfriend is always telling me that we get picked on a lot due to the way we look, dress, and talk. He cares way too much about what others think. First off, we all wear a school uniform. I wore mine baggy, because it was more comfortable that way instead of skin tight. He used to wear a vest, and people would laugh until he got rid of it. He said people would make fun of me because I wore a lot of eyeliner. He got made fun of for his acne scars. He has an accent and kids make fun of it. I like to use big words, so those idiots don't know what I'm saying to them. I have been called attractive many times, and I'm sure he has as well. I just don't like the people at school and the uniforms, and I could care less what others say and what they feel about me. How do I get these idiots to quit annoying us, because we have had so many problems with our relationship due to rumors, lies, and negative comments, because I don't think it will last long if we keep getting bothered like this.

The only reason why they do it is to feel good about their insignificant little lives, ignore them. Deep done inside they probably going through the same issues you are and just don't know how to deal. So they pick on someone who they think won't fight back. If you stand up for yourself trust me those losers will leave you alone because they know u see right through them.

they're picking on you because they're insecure and because you're giving them attention

stop giving them attention and they'll find something else (hopefully constructive) to do

Honey the world is full of idiots like that. You %26amp; your man have just got to be stronger than that %26amp; ignore the little nasty comments, lies, and rumors you was just telling us about. I had to put up with the same crap when I was in school.

As far as your boyfriend goes, well he shouldn't care what other people think of you but instead he should care about how what they're saying is affecting you. Don't let insignificant, self-centered people ruin your relationship I bet thats their goal.
