Is there a statute of limitations on comments made in poor taste?

One of Ann Coulter's comebacks to Elizabeth Edwards was that the "joke" made about her dead son was made three years ago.

Does this mean she shouldn't be taken to task for her inappropriate comments?

No, there isn't. You can hope to live it down, by rebuilding a reputation of wise statements and good works.

I'm liberal and WASP, and even after all these years, I don't think I have forgiven Jesse Jackson for his "Hymietown" crack. That was just stupid.

I believe in holding people responsible for their words and actions. Same thing for Ann Coulter, an attention-seeking fool who has found her niche, her shtick, her gimmick, by using a college-level writing ability coupled with a penchant for inflammatory remarks. "Watch the monkeys chatter when I throw my little pebbles at them. Whee." What fun.

I'm told she grew up in a privileged home. Regardless, she is trash, transplanted from Trailer Park, USA to the condos of Manhattan and Palm Beach. Her intent is trash, her tactics are trash.

And we are trash if we are stupid enough to listen.

Cons seem to excel in logical fallacies

Ann Coulter is a twit who is only out for herself and to sell books. The less people talk about her the better. Hopefully she will crawl back under the rock she slithered out from soon.

GOP depends on their base to have NO memory of facts. They are thrown off when someone DOEs remember, and then don;t know what to say, so they say something really ridiculous.

Maybe she thinks has rehabilitated herself and is a different person than she was three years ago. You know, like Paris Hilton is a new rehabilitated person after spending 23 days in jail.

Ann Coulter is really a man, which makes it strange that Republicans would approve of her/him.
